Tierney Sloane writes dark fantasy and cyberpunk noir: stories from castle shadows and neon-lit streets, about people who don’t come out clean. A lifelong reader of science fiction and fantasy, with a deep love of anime and tabletop roleplaying (and more hours of Critical Role than anyone should admit to), Tierney builds worlds meant to feel lived-in and a little dangerous. Tierney lives in the Pacific Northwest, where rain is a feature, not a bug, and they’re currently writing a first novel.

This site is run by Tierney Sloane. This policy explains what information is collected here, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: I only collect what I need to send you the newsletter and answer your messages - and I never sell it.
What I collect
- Newsletter signups: your email address, and your first name if you choose to give it.
- Contact Form: your name, email address, and whatever you write in your message.
- Basic site statistics: anonymous visit counts provided by the site host. These don’t identify you personally.
How I use it
- To send the newsletter you signed up for: updates, new releases, and occasional extras.
- To reply to messages you send me.
I don’t sell, rent, or trade your information, and I don’t use it for anything you didn’t sign up for.
Services that handle your data
- Carrd hosts this website and processes contact form submissions.
- [Kit] stores the newsletter list and sends the emails. Newsletter emails may record whether they were opened and which links were clicked, to help me understand what readers find useful.

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your choices and rights
- You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
- You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information I hold about you by emailing me here.
If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under laws like the GDPR and CCPA. The steps above cover them, and I’ll respond to requests within 30 days.
How long I keep it
Newsletter information is kept until you unsubscribe. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to respond.
Age requirement
My books are written for adults and contain mature themes, including violence and explicit content. This site and newsletter are intended for readers 18 and older. I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If I learn that someone under 18 has signed up or sent a message, I’ll delete their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
